Mi historia
A Peruvian who spent 35 years in Rome, raised two bilingual children and loves nothing more than helping people speak Spanish with confidence.
I was born in Peru, where Spanish is the language of my childhood, my family and my kitchen. I studied at university in Lima before moving to Rome, where I lived for more than 35 years. Italy became my second home, and Italian my second language.
In Rome I raised my two children to speak, read and write Spanish fluently, with stories at bedtime, songs in the kitchen and, yes, homework at the table. Today they are both adults, completely bilingual, and live in London.
For many years I worked as a nanny with families in Rome. With every family I taught the children Spanish through games, songs and everyday life, and I stayed with one family for eleven years. Those children are still very dear to me.
I am moving to London to be close to my children, and I would love to help you, or your children, learn Spanish. I also help adults practise conversation, because I know how hard it is to speak a language you have studied but rarely use.
