Mi historia
Hola, I’m María
I was born in Peru, and Spanish is the language I grew up with. For more than 35 years I lived in Rome, where I raised my two children to speak, read and write Spanish fluently, homework and all.
As a nanny, I taught Spanish to the children of the families I worked with, and today I help adults find the confidence to finally speak. Now I am moving to London to be close to my children, and I would love to help you learn.

What happens in the free 20-minute trial?
It is a relaxed video call. María asks a few questions to find your level, you talk about what you want to achieve, and she suggests how your lessons could look. There is no payment and no obligation to continue.
I am a complete beginner. Is that OK?
Absolutely. María teaches from your very first words, slowly and patiently, and can explain in English or Italian when something needs clarifying.
Which Spanish do you teach, Latin American or Spain?
María is from Peru and speaks clear, neutral Latin American Spanish. You will be understood everywhere, from Madrid to Mexico City, and she will point out the differences with Spain when they matter.
Do you teach children?
Yes. María taught Spanish to the children in the families she worked with for many years, and raised her own two children fully bilingual. Lessons for children are playful and short enough to keep them engaged.
How do online lessons work?
Lessons happen over video call. All you need is a laptop, tablet or phone with a camera and a quiet spot. María shares materials on screen and sends notes after each lesson.
